  What is GMTA?
After hearing countless keynotes and attending numerous conferences and workshops, we recognized that leadership was often put in a box. Students were being taught to view leadership through a narrow lens, but we knew from personal experience on our campus that leadership was a complex topic. It was during these years in college that we realized we each fulfilled a different leadership role on our campus, neither being more important than the other. We found that substantive leadership came from aligning yourself with the things you felt strongly about, were committed to, and were PASSIONATE about. Our common hunger for nurturing the minds of young adults brought us together one night at Jones Cafeteria, located on the campus of Texas State University. A group of young, gifted men came together to discuss how we were going to yank leadership out of the box and expose its multidimensionality to students. Great Minds Think Alike, Inc. has been in formation ever since. Alvin Curette, Jr., Jarvis Clark and Chris Collins share the desire to be GREAT. Our most fearful thought is that we will not fulfill our purpose in this life. We have been friends since our days at Texas State University (formerly named Southwest Texas State University) and continue to help shape each others’ lives.
  What does GMTA do?
We provide interactive and engaging leadership experiences for participants through workshops and keynotes. A combination of educational training, practical experiences, and biblical principles are used to convey our messages.
  What makes GMTA different?
GMTA, Inc. provides student-leaders with practical strategies to help them achieve Great Leadership. Our messages are clearly articulated, easily remembered, and guaranteed to enhance students’ lives and their impact on their organization(s). We pull from our friendship and individual triumphs and failures to create transparent examples about leadership. Our hope is to inspire individuals to love more, seek knowledge and wisdom, educate others, and strive for personal GREATNESS.
Why do you spell InC like that?
Well, the “InC.” stands for In Christ. It was a creative way to get our point across.
Stay in H.A.R.M.’s Way: the Keys to Balanced Leadership
Juggling academic expectations, hectic schedules, late night pushes to meet deadlines, and meeting after meeting can leave student leaders feeling like they are trapped in a whirlwind. Without the proper balance, leadership can be harmful to our grades, social calendars, and more importantly our physical and mental health. So why stay in H.A.R.M.’s way?
